A week Review of Bhutan Cricket Activities

This Week saw some cricket tournament around Bhutan with Thimphu School Tournament concluded last sunday as Motithang school Senior Team defeated Yangchenphu Senior team to crown the Champion and in Junior Level, Yangchen School Junior Team defeated Motithang School Junior team to crown the Champion, a total of 4 team from Thimphu Dzongkhag Participate in the month long tournament as New comer Khasadrupchu School and Dechencholing school showed some sign of improvement in the cricket though they were out of the tournament from the giants of Motithang Middle Secodary School and Yangchenphu Higher Secondary School who have most of the Junior National Players of Bhutan Which Participated in the International Tournament Organized by Asian Cricket Council, the likes of Under-17 ACC trophy, Under-15 Challenge Cup 2006.

The Thimphu School Tournament saw emergence of talented players and the crowd still love watching the cricket match in the only Ground which Bhutan Cricket has, The Thimphu Cricket ground which is just located next to Archery Range and Football field.

Another school tournament which is being played is the Sarpang Dzongkhag under-19 school tournament organised by the sarpang dzongkhag in association with Bhutan Cricket. The first Match between Sarpang Middle Secondary School and Gelephu Higher Secondary School was abandon by rain and second match between Norbuling Middle Secondary School vs Perlithang lower secondary school, Norbuling Middle Secondary School saw some exciting match as Norbuling School at the end winning by 2 wickets. The Match are played every saturday and sunday in Gelephu Lower Secondary School ground Where it is played on Coir Matting.
