Winter Cricket Coaching camp underway in Thimphu

Bhutan cricket Winter Coaching program is currently underway in the Thimphu District, the coaching camp is basically for the under-13 and under-15 kids for general basic cricket coaching. In mean while the under-15 squad which reach the final of ACC u-15 Challenge Cup 2006, held in Thailand are continuing the coaching program in preparation for the under-17 and u-19 ACC Trophy to be held This Year. With the performance of Under-15 Squad in the ACC U-15 Challenge Cup, more and more kids are keen for the cricket coaching, a total of 50 kids are currently coaching under different coach, with the shortage of ground and other facilities, coaching timing has to be be rotated between the u-13 kids and u-15 kids.

A news report from Bhutan cricket office said that the numbers of participation has been decrees compared to two years back where the numbers was more than 150 in the ground, nevertheless, bhutan cricket is keen to include the cricket in the co-curriculum activities where each district would have at least one coach to look after.With lots of enthusiastic kids in the schools, Bhutan cricket will be organizing junior’s and senior cricket tournament in various part of the country.
