Bhutan Set Final date with Oman

Oman had the easier semi final against Iran, especially after they bowled them out for just 57, with Nikhil Xavier taking 3/12 and Suneet Fernandes taking 4/13. The target was no problem for Oman and they reached it in their eighth over for the loss of just one wicket.

It appeared Thailand would have a similarly simple run chase after bowling Bhutan out for 120. But the match proved to be much closer as captain Jigme Singye ripped through the Thai batting order with 5 wickets for 11 runs with his leg-spin. The last wicket pair came together with the score at 87/9 and 34 runs needed for victory. They threatened to pull off the victory for a while, but were dismissed for 104, Bhutan winning by 16 runs.

Iran and Thailand now have the consolation of Today third place play-off whilst Oman and Bhutan will meet in Saturday's final.
